If anyone sees a big orange cat carrying a shoe, grab it! I'm currently at war with my cat and she's decided that my shoes are her next target for collateral damage. And yes, this war is a serious battle. Also, I am posting an obligatory, but pointless, entry that has nothing to do with Quidditch on purpose. What of it?!

I spilled something at work today when I was learning how to create one of the pain potions we use in the emergency ward. My hand has been numb all day, and now it's starting to feel cold and tingly, yet if I touch it the thing feels rather warm. (Not that I actually feel my own touch, mind you. Just the weird sensations) I guess this would be a good thing if I was in pain, but since I'm not it's just a tad annoying. More so now that I'm trying to write. My apologies if the handwriting is a bit crooked and borderline illegible.
Despite the clumsiness that has resulted in a lack of hand-sensation, my instructor told me that I was the first trainee to master this potion. I'm rather proud of myself, though I need to remember to be a bit more careful next time. At least I'm learning that Slughorn was entirely mad when he mentioned thinking I'd be a good fit for this position. I'm going with about half mad at this point. Most days, at least.
What is everyone else up to?

Moving into a new flat is absolutely no joke. I probably should have used magic more, but it was so satisfying to carry some of those boxes. Though now, my sore arms are not thanking me for my "brilliant" idea. Still, knowing that I now have my own place is ace. Even if James snores obnoxiously loud, almost caught the flat on fire with the toaster, and has a problem with toilet seat etiquette. All of those things can be fixed, though. More so because he's been quite a brilliant flatmate so far. And coming to an agreement about who is and who isn't allowed to cook helped considerably.
There was talk of having our friends over to see the place, though I'm not sure exactly when would be a good time. Anybody have any suggestions? You knooooow you want to come visit!
